Rescue Me ID: 11-08-09-00045Hucky (female)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hucky is currently living in a shelter in Taiwan which is over populated. Taiwan is not suitable for Huskies because of the high temperatures and also the lack of knowledge of how to take care of a Husky. They are under-exercised and understimulated this leads to bordom and then problems such as barking and distructive behaviour, which then leads to abandonment. We're looking for a home for Hucky overseas. We would however need help with the fees for the flight and other arrangements.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Taiwan
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Taiwan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
