Marley is a gorgeous dog we love him very much but sadly my partner is of poor health and is having to change his work hours which means Marley would be left alone in the day which I feel is not fair and cruel ! Marley is very loving and fun he loves to play with other dogs and likes to play with balls or sticks its going to break my heart to let him go but I want what's best for him! He's quite good on recall excellent on the lead he sits and lays for treats and likes to play hide and seek with treats and tug of war he loves people and children he's simply adorable he's a lovely family dog.

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-15-00073Zena (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Zena is a great loving and obedient dog most of the time. However she has gone to bite my other dog a few times. I took her on in September as her previous owners were worried for her safety from their other dog which was a male husky and wouldn't leave her alone. They feared she was pregnant and she was. Just. She had 10 pups so would be best to have her spayed, I have been advised this should be done mid season. Towards end of her pregnancy she did bite my other dog a couple of times and again after she had pups. On one occasion she did cause some laceration above my other dogs eye. I though this had been resolved but when we pass other ... (Read More)aggressive dogs I have to keep a tight hold to stop her mouthing at my other dog. We have been working on this and have made good progress but haven't conquered it completely. Whilst most occasions have just been a mouth hold and didn't break skin it has made my other dog seem miserable. Zena wants to be the dominant dog and has what is called a strong prey drive. She does have could recall though when off lead. She also obeys many commands. (sometimes reluctantly) I really had hoped to work things through with her but I do worry what she could do to my other dog when I am not present. It will be hard to give her up. But she would be better suited to a home where there are no other pets. She has tolerated my cats but they have also have been chased. When I am around she knows not to chase them but they also now have taken to spending most of the time in my room. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in UK
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in UK if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
