Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Loki, He was picked up as a stray in downtown Belington WV and no one claimed this adorable little fellow and we can't understand why. He will be vetted this Friday and will be up to date on his shots, heart worm tested and his neuter will be scheduled. He does well with most oft he dogs here but is a little too much for the older ones. This boy has energy to burn. We think he is about 10 months old and either a Husky Collie mix or a Husky/ Austrailian Shepherd mix. Either way the mix comes with lots and lots of energy and play!!! If interested in this handsome boy email us at mmadoptions@gmail.com today :)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in West Virginia
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in West Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies were imported to Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
