I have a beautiful Husky/Shepard/Wolf/Malamute mix female dog (born 8/25/2008), who could pass as Tamaskan, named Talla Co Cheta, meaning 'Wolf that you Cannot Imagine' that I rescued last August. She is spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on shots, flea meds and heartworm. I had all her vet work done in September. The problem I have had with her is she will go to the bathroom in the house. I have tried everything I know to stop it, including working with her vet doing lab work, who now feels it is probably behavioral. One more thing is she is an escape artist and can get out of the fence unless you staple it to the ground. She is also may not ... street dog for two years or longer.. food aggressive with other animals.. needs a good home.. chicken killer.. runs loose most of the time in our neighbor hood.. I just started taking her in during our bad weather and to feed her .. to also get her up to date with shots etc.. she can not stay here.. she is killing chickens and other small bird type pets etc.. it is a hunger issue and this is why we have started bringing her in to feed her and try and start some training .. she does great on car rides and walking on a leash.. she is now crate trained and is also house broken. however there is a medical issue.. when she was spayed her bladder ... We are fostering this dog, but need a home for him ASAP. He was rescued from a home where other dogs dominated and picked on him. We brought him into our home with little information other than that. We have cats and he is not cat friendly. He gets along very well with other dogs, young children and the elderly. We have a three year old in our home, and lots of children and other dogs in our neighborhood. He loves to be outside. He is mild tempered. He loves to play catch. Spud's a male whose mother is full blooded Boston Terrier and his dad is a Husky/Lab mix. He is almost 16 months old, born Sept. 26, 2011, so he will not get any bigger. He stands about 2 feet to the top of his head. He has been neutered and has had all of his shots up to date. He was born here to our Boston Terrier so he became the 3rd of our 3 dogs. We also have a male black lab who does not get along with Spud at all. He has been trained to live within the boundaries of an underground fence, so he has not been tied up. Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
