This handsome boy is awesome! He is guessed to be an aussie mix with something large as he weighs about 65 lbs. he is a big boy and so gorgeous! Dash is loving being out of the pound and getting to run around with the other dogs. He knows some asic commands, like 'load up' and 'Kennel Up'. Bostic, red husky, was abandoned by my neighbors. I have had him in my fenced in back yard since Sunday night. Unfortunately, Bostic has not been socialized & therefore is an issue with my older dog. I have contacted his owners asking about the situation. The owner responded that they were forced to move due to financial hardship. She said that her boyfriend came back for the dog, but was unable to put a collar on him. It's been over a week since they've moved, and they obviously aren't coming back for Bostic. They left him scared, hungry, and alone. The history that I can provide is that he has been confined to his yard for 6+ years with ... (Read More)no socialization. He's last shots were given at the house 1.5years ago. He hasn't been neutered which could explain some of his aggression issues. He needs to see a veterinarian. He's ears have open sores that I have been treating the best I can by myself. He needs to be taken to a groomer, given a good bath & brushing. He is extremely smart & playful once he trust you. He desperately wants inside my house to be loved & give love. It is my belief that he will be a loyal & protective companion to someone who has experience in rehabilitating dogs. Haze is a 14 month Pitt/husky mix. He is house trained and knows some commands. He loves to rest next to you while on the computer or watching tv, but would rather join along for a walk or jog. He was left behind by an old roommate and I am no longer able to keep him because he started digging around the gate since my neighbors got 2 Pitt Bulls next door. My chihuahua had to be hospitalized last week from a broken rib and multiple bites after he got into the neighbors yard due to holes dug by haze. Lil Bit is a 40lbs hound/husky/beagle mix. She loves cuddles and walks, and will do lots of tricks for a treat. She's good at going on runs, but is also more than content to lay around the house. Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
