Rescue Me ID: 14-10-18-00195Kiba (male)
All about me! Name: Kiba Breed: husky/german shepherd mix Age: est 7 years Height: est 25 inches Weight: about 65 lbs; needs to gain Good with dogs? yes Good with men? loves 'em Good with women? loves 'em House trained? working on it Crate trained? yes Leash trained? yes Must have fenced in yard? no Foster home is: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Adoption fee: $125 Date into rescue: 11/13/13 Why am I with a rescue group? Kiba was originally turned into the Greenville County shelter. We pulled him and treated his heartworms and got him back on the right track. Kiba definitely needs an experienced owner as he does have some quirks. He much prefers women to men - and large dogs to small dogs. He does great with cats (he has been in two different homes with kitty's and did good both times). Kiba is not completely house trained - however he is completely crate trained. He is leash trained as well and loves a car ride! He has resource guarding issues. How I act when I first meet new people: friendly Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-12-00515Kyra (male)
I have had Kyra since she was a puppy. She is a wonderful companion but needs more exercise than I can give her with my long work hours. She is very willful and strong and needs an owner that can give her the attention she craves.

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-05-00102Sasha (female)
Sasha is one of a pair of bonded siblings. Her brother Nico and her need to stay together. Nico has an ad here too. They are Wolf/Husky/? mix. We think it is Rottweiler. We rescued their mother from the shelter in the upstate where she was due to be destroyed. Once rescued we found out that she was pregnant. She delivered 6 healthy pups and once old enough they were adopted out. We found a good home for their mother too. we recently moved into town and now do not have the room to keep our larger pups. Please help us find a good home for our pretty babies.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in South Carolina
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
