Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Lila is a Husky/German Shepherd mix. I adopted her when she was 9 months old. She was 2 in June. She goes to doggy day care every day and is great with most dogs. She loves the dog park. I do not know what her life was like prior to adopting her as they had no information other than owner dropped her off but she has had a good life with me, however, she can be fearful of new people and suffers from separation anxiety. She does warm up to new people given time. I have to try and find her a new home as financially I must. She would do best with a couple or a family with older kids and a backyard or lots of outdoor space.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in South Carolina
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
