Rescue Me ID: 14-09-24-00712Millie (female)
Millie is a gorgeous blue-eyed Siberian Husky with perfect markings. Millie was surrendered in June '14 through no fault of her own. Her mistress was found to have stage 4 cancer and Millie was baggage that was too hard to deal with at the time. At the time they would fill the food bowl and she had free reign hence, she was a bit over weight. She has lost a few pounds but needs to lose a few more. Millie is a gentle giant....all she wants is love...and her meal on time. lol She shares the garage space with an Australian Cattle dog named Rascal. Rascal is just a year old and makes Millie crazy with his high energy. He needs something to herd and all she wants is a couch. During the hot weather she would hold until the cooler evening time and come in and resume laying on an air conditioning vent. Millie tends to be more drawn to females than males. Millie needs a fenced yard to call her home with a stay at home mom or retired female in the house. She will roll-over for belly rubs and gives kisses. Millie is very smart and loyal just asking for some love and a home to call her own. If there is room in your home and heart for this pretty girl, please call 803-627-3049 OR e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-24-00672Sable (male)
Sable wandered through the neighborhood in the fall of 2013, apprx age then was 9 mos. After asking everyone on the street if they knew about him, they answered 'No.' Since he has been with us, he has taken the place of my older male that passed in Jan 2014 and is the 'big brother' but not dominant. The older girls are not happy with his exuberance but he still a pup. Sable is very smart and was easily house trained and lead trained....does not like a collar but great on a harness. He easily was compatible with an older house cat as well as the brood in the house. Sable has made friends with a rat terrier named Sterling. The 2 play hard, rest, get up and do it again. It's amazing to see some of the sniping from Sterling that Sable tolerates.....Sable is a mild mannered boy. Sable is current on vaccinations, parasite free, heart worm negative, and neutered. If there is an interest in Sable, please call 803-627-3049 OR e-mail at email@example.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-05-00322Buddy (male)
Buddy is about 3 years old. I don't know if he is full or not, but he looks the part. His eyes are blue, although the photo doesn't show it. Buddy does not get along well with children, that's why I'm looking for him a new home. I think he would do well in an all adult family as an only dog. please contact me for more info. Thanks, Steve

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in South Carolina
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
