Rescue Me ID: 14-10-19-00234Sammie (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sammie is exceptionally bright! She wandered up onto our front porch 1.5 years ago and just decided to stay. We took her in and have cared for her. She is very sweet and loving. She LOVES attention. She's good with other dogs and people. She is housebroken and likes to be inside as long as people are around. She does not like to be inside alone and hates to be locked up. We have a new baby in the house, so she can't be in anymore. She isn't getting the attention she needs. She is high energy, she loves to run! She is a digger so we use an underground fence to keep her in. We think she's intelligent enough to make an excellent K9 police ... (Read More)animal but we don't know enough about it to pursue that avenue. We also think she'd be great on a farm. (Less)

Christy was rescued & given to my mother approximately 8 yrs ago for Christmas. Our mother died last week leaving Christy homeless. She is timid with men, but loves woman and small children. She was our mother's constant companion indoors, but she loves to run free too. For the most part Christy is a very happy dog, but it is obvious she is grieving too. She is approximately 50 lbs. There is no adoption fee; we only ask that you get her vaccinations current. I have all vet records upon request.

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-03-00014Stella and Munchkin (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

I rescued Stella when she was 8 months old and she had parvo. I nursed her for months and before I was able to get her spayed, she missed her appointment because she wasn't healthy enough, she was pregnant for the surgery. Only two of the puppies survived. I was able to place her sister when she was weeks old but Stella and Munchkin have been together for a year. Munchkin was born September 1st!! Just a year and a few days old and super smart. And with everything thing that Stella has been through, she has the most loyal heart. Placing them together would be a miracle. Please help me find these girls a loving forever home. I am disabled and ... (Read More)going to be having surgery soon which makes it impossibly hard to care for the four girls in my home on my own. Contact me anytime. Thanks for your time and effort. PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Oklahoma
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
