Diamond is a 4 yr old Siberian Husky that we adopted from OKC Animal Shelter but because of a costly divorce I have to rehome her. She is good with most dogs provided it isn't a hyper dog (terriers or puppies). She ignores most cats unless the cat strikes her then she'll yell at them. She's been around children 10 yrs old to as young as my 2 yr old. She loves her daily walks and her thrice a week brushing and she is accustomed to being shaved in the summer. Please help us find her a loving home.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Oklahoma
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost Oklahoma Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies were imported to Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. Teams of Huskies were used during Gunnar Kaasen's 1925 run to deliver diphtheria vaccine to Nome. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
