Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive

We found her on the west side of Lake Hefner. took her to petsmart and she has a chip... which showed her name... Callie and that the chip was from Texas. But no owner name. Very sweet and lovable... Loves our 18 month old and good with our other dogs, but have to feed her separately as she has some food possession issues... but I think she had been a while without food, she is pretty skinny, but otherwise healthy. One of my other dogs is very old and ha some health issues and it is really upsetting her to have her here. Very obedient. sits, shakes hands.

This sweet girl needs a home soon. Her Foster family loves her but recent changes in the neighborhood require a change. Please consider giving this girl a home. She has been in a shelter and now a foster home since November 2012. She wouldn't be great with small children due to her age. She gets along well with other dogs in the home.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Oklahoma
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost Oklahoma Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. Teams of Huskies were used during Gunnar Kaasen's 1925 run to deliver diphtheria vaccine to Nome. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
