We have had to lay concrete around our fence to keep him from digging under and going to other yards. He does well with men. He growls around females and some kids.     Belle is a very loving dog. She has high energy and loves to play. Loves to go on runs or walks often. We are not sure how she does with cats she has not been around any to know how well she would do. She is 5 months, very healthy. She likes kids but because she is still a pup and very active she tends to get super excited which can sometimes be hard to tame. Does not quite understand gentle play yet. She is house trained and kennel trained. We would like to see her go to a wonderful home that can give her the love and attention she deserves. She needs room to play and run!

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-20-00526Skye (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Abused/Neglected

Skye is a stunning dog, she's a beautiful furball with eyes the color of the most beautiful summer sky. I rescued her from a family who was going to have to put her down. She is very active and although I've worked effortlessly on obedience she is still in need of training. She needs a high energy family, someone to help her burn some of her own. She needs to be in a only pet home. She also needs to be in a home with older children, she's not human aggressive but she is rambunctious and could hurt a young child. Skye is attention starved, she spent a year and a half in a kennel. I've done my very best to work with her and she is very smart. ... (Read More)She just doesn't know how to properly socialize. She is extremely dog aggressive as well as food aggressive with other pet's. She is not food aggressive to human's. The reason I'm not asking a rehoming fee is because she needs to be utd on her shots as well as obedience training. This does not mean I will not be screening the home she goes to. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Oklahoma
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
