Super sweet husky mix. Probably only a couple of years old.

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-21-00187King (male)
This is King. He is a neutered male husky/shepherd mix. He is about 2-3 years old, and I have had him for about a year now. I work at a vet clinic, and one of the technicians found him wandering by her house. She could not keep him, and was going to turn him into the humane society. Instead, I took him in hopes of finding a home for him. He is a very energetic and loving boy. He has bonding strongly with my husband, who takes him on walks every night. The girl who found him let him play with her small dog, and he did great. He is aggressive toward larger male dogs, however. King would be happiest in a home with no other pets and no children, as he can sometimes become nervous. He loves to go on walks and run, and will bond strongly to the right owner. He will need to be sedated before any vet visitor, however, because he gets spooked. He would be a great companion for somebody, and if I did not have other dogs I would love to keep him. I will require a veterinary background check on anyone who would like to adopt King. Please contact me with any questions! This boy deserves a good home! He is up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, and currently on heart worm prevention! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-17-00007Logan (female)
We found a beautiful husky on the road today. She is a very young maybe 6-8months old. We have only had her for the day and are looking for a home for her. She loves my boyfriend's dog and gets along great with everyone she has meet so far. She is very sweet, snuggly and so loving. She comes when she is called and walks on a leash surprisingly well. I wish I could keep her because she is really good dog, but I would I work to many hours to devote the time she deserves. She is a red husky who we think is purebred, she is not very big at this point but may grow and will definitely fill out. She is maybe 45 pounds right now. She has beautiful light blue eyes with a white chest and legs. I am adding a small adoption fee only because I want to make sure whoever adopts her is serious about owning a dog. The future owner needs to be able to devote the time she needs, have an adequate yard for her to play and like to take her on walks and adventures. Please let me know if you would like to change this animals life and give her a forever home. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-11-00078Nanuk (male)
I am moving out of the country and having to rehome my dogs. Nanuk is very friendly, fantastic with adults and kids and good with most dogs. He is an escape artist, so you must have an appropriate fence. He is kennel trained and used to being in the kennel while I'm at work and my kids are at school. However, when he was adopted, he had some anxiety about this and will require some patience during the transition period. Ideally he would have another dog in the home as he doesn't like to be home alone. He is also housebroken, but did urinate in his kennel when he was rehomed. Again, due to some anxiety. He will need a home where someone can dedicate some time to making him feel secure. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-09-00296Keira (female)
Keira is beautiful, isn't she? She is a fluffy husky, about 1.5 yrs old. Kiki is kind of atypical of most huskies, she is quite, does not try overly hard to escape (crate, house or yard), she is not very destructive (but we DO recommend crating her) and she gets along with every dog she's been with (she does play rather rough). She LOVES affection and gets the cutest smile on her face. Keira has not been around cats, but she has been overly interested in ferrets and a parrot. She is housebroken/crate trained, on flea/tick/hw prevention, utd on shots, spayed and microchipped. Keira is being fostered in Tulsa, her adoption fee is $250. **pior husky experience is required** (Less)

Animal ID: Sch#1dlrPoseidon (male)
Poseidon was a owner abandoned case here at a local animal hospital. We are urgently looking for a new home for him. We know that he is good with adults but not sure about kids. He is still young and would be much happier out of here where he has a family of his own. His adoption fee is $125 he is current on vaccines. He will be neutered before going home.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-27-00447Esko (male)
Esko is a male, purebred siberian husky without papers. He is 6 years old and around 70 lbs. He is the biggest and most beautiful huskie I have ever seen. We have had him since he was a pup. He is an amazing and well behaved dog. We love him dearly and want a good home for him with people who will love him as family. Our troubles started 3 years ago when he attached our older dog causing superficial wounds. This happened a few more times over the following years. The last time the wound caused an infection in our old labs ear and we decided to put the lab down due to age and treatment options. Just a few days Esko attached our small female dog, once again causing superficial wounds. He also killed a pomeranian while our fences were blown down two years ago. We have a son who is 9 months old and can not risk his safety by keeping Esko. So, with much sadness we are putting him up for adoption. He will need a home without other animals or children. He loves the outdoors and is great for a hiking companion. He ignores most dogs while on the leash unless the dog is small and rodent like. He has had basic dog training. He is vocal and loving to all visitors. He has never been aggressive to people. Unfortunately, we can not keep him much longer due to the risk I feel he imposes to our son. If he is not adopted in the next week we will put him down. We do not want this to be his fate, but feel we are running out of options. Please consider adopting this amazing dog into your life. Please feel free to contact us at any time. Thank you! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-01-00630 (female)
Raven is 6 years old, fully vetted and good with dogs her size and bigger. She has a distinctive prey drive, so she would be best in a home without cats or smaller dogs. Like any husky she will need an active human partner, monitored play time outside, and secure fencing.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Oklahoma
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
