Dallas, called Scout, is a chubby 4 yr old mixed breed (husky/shep guess) that is on a diet! He's a good boy who likes to cuddle, is good with other dogs, and we're told cats too but will evaluate further. He's a happy boy who deserves an amazing long term family. He came to rescue with Rally and they'd both love a home and family but do not have to go together. This boy is just so happy and so cute!     Rally, called Ace, is ready for a long term home! He is a gorgeous boy that likes to go for walks. Rally deserves an amazing home and family for the rest of his life. He is a mixed breed at about 50 lbs. and a very very handsome fella! We have no idea what mixes he is of but we do know one thing, he is the best kind! Rally is good on a leash, good with other dogs, good with courteous children, and seems pretty good with cats too although a little nervous around new things sometimes. * If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. ... Siberian Husky    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

Oh sweet boy, we'll do our best. He has an appointment with the vet for a blood work up, is on high quality food, and has been dewormed. We're hopeful we can figure out what the cause of weight loss is in this sweet soul. What we do know is that he is very sweet. He curls up in his crate and blankets and quietly rests. He loves the other dogs and found the pigs to be a joy to run along the fence with. This sweetheart of a boy deserves an amazing long term home and guardian once he is healed! Update on Kodiak. I know a lot have been wondering but we've been working with him to get his stools solid and his digestion kinks figured out. He's ... (Read More)been with us almost 2 weeks and is making progress! Update! Kodiak is thriving! In 4 weeks he was up to a healthy weight and able to be neutered. He is an amazing dog! He loves people, walks well, would be a great jogging buddy or walking partner, he is kind, respectful, gets along with everyone and every animal he meets to include the pigs, baby goat, cats, other dogs, and ponies. He is such a nice boy! He is VERY allergic to grain so once we learned that and got him on a grain free food that worked for him, he flourished at rescue. This boy deserves the BEST home! If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. The adoption fee is $175 and all residents are fully vetted prior to adoption to include slay/neuter, vaccinations, dewormings and microchip as well as any additional known medical needs cared for. *breeds cannot be guaranteed* *if a yard is present, it must be securely fenced* *housetraining is not guaranteed. Our primary focus is behavioral rehabilitation and medical treatment leaving basic training to adoptive families. Although we work with crate training with all residents, we've found that training assists in developing a bond and establishing boundaries and behavior in a home with a family. Even dogs who are displaying housetrained behaviors at rescue can regress in a new environment and routine* (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in North Dakota
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in North Dakota if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost North Dakota Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. Teams of Huskies were used during Gunnar Kaasen's 1925 run to deliver diphtheria vaccine to Nome. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
