|Rescue Me ID: 15-02-25-00495Athena (female)|
Athena is very loving but also skittish. She loves other dogs her size but becomes a little dominate with smaller dogs. She does fine around my almost 1 yr old daughter but when older children run around crazy she becomes dominate And try's to keep them in line and that's why I recommend no children. Does good on a leash. We recently moved and she has started escaping the yard which she has never done before she doesn't go far and she comes back but it's every day and I can not take care of her anymore. She is kennel trained but if she is in there for too long she will start to eat at the kennel. She is 2 1/2 years old. I want her to go to active home and someone who can put time into her. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-12-15-00584MAYA (female)|
Maya is 8 yrs old and a special needs dog with epilepsy. She takes medication for it. She is gorgeous and your typical husky. Would do best with someone who has husky experience. She loves her walks, is full of life and love. She is grateful to finally be living in doors. She would be best as only dog

Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
