Animal ID: 5063510Remington (male)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Meet Remington, he is a 1 1/2 year old Husky-Australian Shepard mix. Unfortunately, we are moving and due to housing and work changes we do not have the means or time to provide him with the attention he deserves. He is a very energetic dog and loves the outdoors and going on runs. He is very smart, loving, loyal, and LOVES to cuddle! He has been raised around children as well as other dogs (loves to play and is gentle with smaller pets) and has already been neutered. Due to his loving and energetic personality, Remington requires a lot of love and attention and will not suit a one person household whom works all day and is more suited for a ... (Read More)family who is able to play and dote on him frequently. He is kennel trained (we highly recommend having one, as he is more comfortable in a kennel when you are gone) and we would be willing to discuss including ours for a small fee if you do not have one. Remington is looking for a FOREVER home. Serious inquiries only, please. If you feel this loving, loyal dog is right for your family please contact us! Please text or email. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-21-00106Clover (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Clover is a black and white female husky. The vet says she may be part Malamute because she is a bit taller and bigger than a female husky (weighs 60 pounds). She is 6 years old. I need to find a good home for her. Since I adopted her in 2010, many things have changed in my schedules and living conditions and we can no longer give her the attention and exercise she needs. She loves to go on walks and runs and really needs a fenced in yard for free running. She is an inside dog. She is an excellent companion for adults and children and gets along with most dogs. She can be food dominant with other dogs. I think she would be best in a home ... (Read More)without another dog or with a submissive dog. She is also micro-chipped. She also has been diagnosed with mild epilepsy but is controlled by phenobarbital. She hasn't had a seizure since being on the meds and she is normal on the medication. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-22-00088Lily (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is Lily, she is a spayed Siberian Husky/mix (possible GSD?), UTD on shots that turned 4 yrs old November 1 2014. I am needing to find her a new home due to my work and school schedule. She is an inside dog, housebroken, good with kids and adults (although favors adult males). If she is going to be kept outside, she will need to have a (tall) fenced in yard, although trying to convince her that she is an outside doggie will be very difficult. Currently when she goes outside to do her business, she goes out on a cable (my yard is not fenced in). So I would rather her go to someone who has a fenced in yard so she can run. She is trained to ... (Read More)sit, shake, high five, sit pretty, and lay down. She is a very loving dog. She will come with her large metal kennel as she sleeps in it at night. This is something she likes to do, it is her quite place to sleep (and snore). She does not bark very often, although vocal when it comes to howling when she want something (neighbors have never complained). Some things she is NOT so good at is walking without a leash and staying by your side as she thinks she is free and will take off, she does not like to have her nails clipped and will require a muzzle (will provide), she also does not like wood floors because for some reason she has a hard time finding her footing on them and ends up with some type of step slide mess when walking on them (my dinning and kitchen area are laminate wood floors). Something else that needs to be consider by anyone interested in her, she sheds a lot from spring until fall and requires a lot of grooming. Best results are having her undercoat blown out every once in a while to keep shedding down to a minimum. I have provided a link to a video of her if anyone wants to watch it. Thanks (Less)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, I'm Arnie. I'm a very friendly dog just looking to have a good time. I've been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease which is chronic and requires medication for the rest of my life. I'm happiest outside and I don't like cats so I need a home with no small pets and a fenced yard where I can spend lots of time outside. I know there must be someplace that's right for me and I'm hoping every day that the person who can help me will rescue me soon. Can you be that person? Those adopting Arnie can get his medication from Angel's Vet at our cost.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Missouri
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
