(plays rough at times with cat) We have not been able to get him to walk on lead, or collar for that matter. Only 1 bath and never finished took 4 people and a horse trough. We are retired and going to travel. We cannot take him, he wont do well traveling at all. Jacob needs a trainer, some one that can devote time and energy towards him. It took me a year and a half to get him to lay inside the house and not freak out. DOES NOT BITE!!! He talks to you ... (Read More)like a husky, but you cannot have anything in your hand when approaching him, he will run or cow down whinning. He deserves a forever home. (Less)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Mouser was rescued from an abusive home and has been rehabilitated with our family for the past 2 years and is now ready for his forever home. He will need an assertive owner because he may still act out as a result of his past abuse. He must be an inside dog, and will require a daily walk for his energy level. He can climb fences if loose in the yard, and will scratch at doors if chained. He is good with kids, and adults as long as he knows that the house doesn't belong to him. He is also good with cats as well. Somebody in your life needs this pure white beauty to hang out with, please help us find his forever home.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Missouri
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
