Rescue Me ID: 14-07-17-00294  (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We are no longer able to keep Obi due to change in our circumstances and our upcoming move. Here is some information about Obi: We've had Obi for 1.5yrs after rescuing him from his previous owner who could no longer care for him. He is now almost 2.5yrs old. She got him as a puppy from a pet store and had him until the age of 1. As of May 2014 he has turned 2. We have been told he is a purebred Siberian Husky. Obi is housebroken, he likes to run and play. Things you should know about this Siberian Husky: - He sheds twice a year (spring / fall) - Your yard must be fenced, or he'll run and explore the neighborhood. - He is ... (Read More)trained to sit, shake, lay down, stay. - He makes a gesture for play, food, and to go outside. - He plays with my 5 year old and his friends. However, like all huskies, he will sometimes not do what you ask of him. It usually happens when he is weighing options. He will choose one over the other. They sometimes question whether the action you ask of them is worth the reward you provide :) but it hasn't been an issue. (Less)

He is such a good boy, Love him, He was going to be EU, they were walking him down the hall when I said tell them to stop I will take him. He came from TX have several friends there this is a high kill shelter. First he was lost then on adoptions then adopted and then returned said growled at a kid for taking his treat away. WELL then dont let your kids mess with dogs food or treat. I have temp tested him with my grandson 4 years old and he just layed on his back and wanted Nathan to rub his tummy, I have kissed him when he is around his food, NEVER have I seen an issue with this boy, He is a med size, NOT LARGE, I think he must of been the ... Rescue Me ID: 14-06-25-00111Zeus (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Not Good with Cats
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Zeus came to us from a friend, he is dog aggressive, but gets along with our female puppy. He is food aggressive, and has growled at my son. He tends to listen and respond better to an adult male. I don't think he was abused from previous owner, but appears he was left in the crate a lot. He needs a fenced in yard, we live in the country, and he roams several miles and has fought with several neighbor dogs, and a neighbor said he almost bit him. I am sure the neighbor was being aggressive towards him because Zeus was messing with his dog. I do believe Zeus can be rehabilitated, in the right environment, that being a fenced yard. When ... (Read More)he does escape, he is gone a long time and refuses to return, until he is ready. He is not obedient to commands. He is a sweet living dog who needs some tender loving care and training. Rescue Me ID: 14-06-16-00024Kaios (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Dogs by Debin hopes to help find this handsome boy, Kaios (pronounced Chaos), a home. If you are interested, please fill out the Adoption form on our website, www.DogsbyDebin.com. This is Kaios, He is an AKC registered Siberian Husky (Although I never received his paperwork when I adopted him). He is already neutered, micro chipped and current on his vaccinations. He has been with us since he was 9 months old, and we were his 3rd family. He is currently 5 (Birthday is in October...17th I believe) He has been around Great Danes and does well with other dogs his size or larger. (He was rewarded for catching moles in the back yard, when we ... (Read More)had full access, so he has a misunderstanding on how to play with smaller dogs or animals.) He's very energetic and does jump up a little still, so little ones need to be supervised. I've had unforeseen health issues arise, and he no longer gets the level of attention he truly needs. We also live in a duplex with a single back yard, and we can no longer let him get the exercise he needs with the new neighbors that have moved in. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-02-00556Ruby (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Ruby is a sweet, well mannered 5 year old Husky mix. We are unable to keep her due to a move and want to make sure she goes to a good home. She has never shown any issues around kids or other dogs, but seems to prefer human companions to animal ones. She's approximately 65 pounds and has no health issues, we've had her since she was a puppy. She can be very hyper and active if you want her to be, but is also fine just lounging around the house. She also knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay, and she is good at walking on a leash. She does some howling and has the shedding issues typical of her breed. She will come with a food ... (Read More)bowl, crate, and Furminator to a good home. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Missouri
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
