Rescue Me ID: 14-04-15-00384Mitsu (female)

Siberian Husky    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Incontinent

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] I am very sad to have to post this; Mitsu has been a part of our family for 7 years. I don't want to give her up but in our current financial situation we just can't afford to take care of her. She needs her shots, heartworm test and flea/tick/heartworm medication this month but unfortunately we can't afford to pay for them. She has spay-induced incontinence which can be controlled with medication. She has allergies but hasn't been tested so she has been treated with steroids when it gets too bad (sneezing, coughing, itching). Another reason we need to find her a new home is because she is having trouble ... (Read More)dealing with the constant pushing, pulling, poking, etc. from our toddler. She is good with older kids and with adults; I've never seen her growl or snarl at anyone except our toddler when she agitates her and because we had another baby in November, I haven't had the time to spend with her that she needs and that isn't fair for her. She is friendly with older children and most other dogs as well. I want her to go to a good home and family who will love her and be able to take care of her like she deserves. She is a good dog, just not with toddlers:( I would prefer to keep her with us until we find her a new home but my husband wants to take her to the shelter. If you think you can provide a good home for Mitsu, please contact me right away so she doesn't end up at the Humane Society! (Less)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I'm Meeko and I'm a handsome furry bundle of puppy love. I love my furry foster brothers, playing endlessly, and curling up to nap with them. I will curl up at your feet just to be close. I'm very good with the children in my foster home and I'm very interested in the cats and when I'm given the chance to say 'hello' I will wag my tail and give them kisses, cute as can be. When they decide they are done, I become sad and will whine from disappointment. I'm trying very hard to learn and remember big boy lessons. Being a puppy, I do jump up to greet people but I'm learning to wait and be patient. I'm very food & treat oriented, and I'm ... (Read More)learning all food is not just for me. My foster family is teaching me to be 'gentle' in order to receive treats and I'm doing very well. I'm trying to break my addiction to sticks, chewing them up and eating them, as I'm finding out my tummy doesn't like them. I am crate trained and housebroken, though I'm still young so I may have an occasional accident. One needs to watch for signs to take me out quickly. When I enter the RPSM Correctional Companion Program on April 4th for 8-10 weeks I hope to become a pro at doing all the things my foster family has been working on with me. My forever family will need to be active outdoors because with my breed mixes, outdoor activities are in my nature. I really like to sprawl out in the snow as though I'm basking in the sun. I'm very smart and will learn quickly with firm/consistent training. I will be a wonderful furry kid for my forever family. I am neutered and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, and FT. RPSM recommends children 6 years of age and older. I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $200. an application. My adoption fee is $200. (Less)

Hello. I have a 3 yr old female husky that needs a home asap. I am 8 months pregnant and I have a 2 year old daughter and I work third shift and I just have no time for her now. I absolutely love her. She is my soulmate. But I know that this is not the life she should be living. She needs to be with a high ... Im asking 250...I will NOT lower my price. She is worth every penny. Please txt or email me asap. Thank u. 5176106901 (Less)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Kaiba is an 8 month old 7/8 German Shepherd 1/8 Husky that we kept from an accidental litter of puppies. He is a sweetheart but as he has gotten older he has started scarffing down his food and then steals the other dogs food. This has led to a food aggression from our adult dogs and Kaiba now has to be locked up until the other dogs are done eating. He has started showing aggression with his dad, usually when they are competing for their humans attention. We recently both started working 6 days a week and due to his youth Kai has to be kenneled. He only gets out for 3 or 4 hours a day and he's going nuts. I'm pregnant and overwhelmed. While ... (Read More)our older dogs are adjusting well to the recent changes Kaiba isn't, and its not fair to him. He does great with our small dog and female dog, plays with our cat and has been exposed to young children often. He is housebroke and comes when called but isn't leash trained. Please help. The longer he is subjected to these changes the more hyper and crazy he is and I really am overwhelmed. I think he'd do best as an only dog due to his food issue but would do well with an experienced family. (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

My wife and I have made the difficult decision to find a new home for our 12 year old husky/beagle mix named Kahula. My wife adopted her from a shelter when she was a puppy. She is a very sweet and loving dog. When we brought our first child home last year, it made the dog very anxious and it has become clear that she does not do well around children. She would also do best as an only pet. She loves to go on short walks every day and will show you a lot of love and affection. We are not comfortable giving her to just anyone, we require a reference from a vet. It will be very hard for us to let her go, but if you think your home would be a ... Rescue Me ID: 13-04-27-00279Breanna (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Malnourished, Abused/Neglected

Breanna has been through so much trauma in her five years of life. We believe she ran loose as a stray for several months or longer, forced to dine on rotting road kill. As a result of this dangerous and lonely life, she came to us weak, emaciated, and with medical issues we are currently treating. Despite all this, her loving spirit shines through. She wants to show us that she can be a good, loving dog that should belong in a house with a family once again. She can sit and shake, tricks left over from a life long left behind. She is eager to get to know the love of people once again. She would do best in a home without young kids because ... (Read More)she is still adjusting to life with people once again. She needs an owner who understands that it will take lots of patience and love to let Breanna truly shine. Please help repair a broken dog and consider her today. Can't adopt? Consider fostering Breanna so you can teach her once again how to live in a house with a family. Email wilddogonline@gmail.com with questions or for further information. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
