Hi! My name is Cheveyo. I am a 2 year old husky mix. I have lots of energy but mind well. I know how to sit and stay. I am very intelligent. I am house and crate trained as well. I love toys, and I am very playful. When I first meet people I like to try to act like the boss, so I need someone who will put me in my place right away. I would love to go to a home with someone that has husky knowledge and who will keep up on my training and show me new things to learn. I would do best in a home without very young kids only because I may jump on them and accidentally knock them down. I am up to date on all vaccines, neutered, treated for fleas and heartworm negative. I will also be chipped before leaving rescue. I should go to a home with a high wooden fence. I can and will climb even very tall wire fences. I do not do so well with small animals but I do wonderful with other dogs my size or bigger. If you want an awesome boy, that's me!! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-19-00595Athena and Sasha (female)|
Athena and Sasha are both 2 years old. They are bonded sisters so they cannot be separated. They come from a loving family and have always been very taken care of. Neither of them are aggressive, they love people. Sasha is not very vocal but Athena does have her moments, as does every husky. It breaks our hearts to have to let go of our girls as they are our babies! We need them to go to a family that has the time and energy that they require. We would prefer you to have a good knowledge of the breed and what they require. They need to have room to run and preferably a fenced in yard. They are sweet girls that need to find a family that loves them as much as we do. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-16-00449Shadow (female)|
I am NOT listing my dog to be adopted. Rather I am asking for help. My dog shadow went missing on November 5th 2015. She has been seen several times in a couple of locations. However she has been seen at least 3 times in the same location since Saturday of this past weekend. The problem is is that we are not able to locate her because it is in the woods behind a residential location. My family and I have tried everything you can possibly imagine to locate her. We have posted on Facebook, craigslist, sent out several hundred flyers to area locations, called the animal shelter, the Humane Society, brought items that would smell familiar to her near the site that she has been seen along with dog food. We have called her name near the locations that she has been cited with no luck, we have went silent hoping that will just run into her without scaring her off, we have brought her son out with us hoping she would recognize his bark. I have even spoke with a psychic as crazy as it sounds. We know she's in that general location because we had several calls from that location saving that they have seen her. We honestly do not know where to turn and now are looking to see if there are any trailing dogs available to help locate her. I have done research and know that it is very expensive to hire a trailing dog. Sadly my only income is social security disability as I am disabled with multiple sclerosis. This Thursday marks two weeks since she has been gone. I am beging with you and pleading with you. If anyone has a trailing dog I would be more than happy to pay as much as I could possibly afford for them to come and help us locate our missing dog shadow. We are devastated and desperate. They are utd on shots and fixed. They're both very sweet and loving dogs. They do great with kids and other dogs, but have been outside dogs their whole life, so they'd need help learing to ropes to housebreaking. |Rescue Me ID: 15-10-11-00393Storm (male)|
Storm was rescued from a bad situation where he was neglected and not properly cared for. He has been in his current home for a little over a year and gets along great with the other husky in the home whom is a female. However, the owner cannot provide the time and attention that this sweet senior boy needs and is looking to re-home him to someone that can be home more often with him. Storm is not crate trained and has broken crates, doors and destroyed things in order to get free. He does well chained up outside but a home with a fenced in yard would be preferred. He has not been socialized a whole lot with other males but he has shown aggression toward unaltered males before so a home with no other pets, or just female dogs would be best. Storm is a loving companion looking for his perfect furever home. (Less)

This is beautiful Shyla. Shyla is a female shepherd/husky mix. She is only about 1 year old, so she has a ton of puppy energy! Shyla loves to cuddle after a good game of fetch or even a long walk. She is a very smart girl who has been picking up obedience training very quickly. Shyla would be perfect for an athletic owner interested in agility training or looking for a running buddy. Shyla needs a home with a fenced in yard to allow her all the play she needs! If you are interested in meeting Shyla, please fill out a Pre-Adoption Application. Only applications over 21 years with a fenced in yard will be considered. Wild Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on donations for the continued care of the animals. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan|
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
