Rescue Me ID: 17-08-17-00305Ghost (female)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Ghost is a 3-year-old white husky looking for her forever home. She is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle on the couch, 'talk' to us, and throw her toys in the air to play. Her previous owners said she nipped at their granddaughter, and while she did not bite her, they still got rid of her. Due to this, we are requesting a home with older children or just adults. However, we think with even a little bit of training she would be fine. She is very smart; in the short amount of time we've had her and have been working with her, she's picked up onto crate training and 'sit' even though these were not taught by her previous family. She is ... (Read More)housebroken, up to date on vaccinations and spayed, but not microchipped. We don't believe her previous owners gave her much of a chance and hope she finds a home that will give her the time and patience she deserves. We have a 30 lb. male dog and they get along well and play together. She will come with bowls, a bed, harness, leash, heart guard, and 2 brushes. Please contact me via text, call, or e-mail if you are interested. (Less)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lily is an 8 year old Husky mix looking for her forever home. She's completely vetted, microchipped, and spayed but we did recently discover that she is unfortunately heartworm positive. She'll be starting her first treatment as soon as possible. Lily is a very well behaved and sweet senior girl. She's been great with the other dogs and loves people, kids and adults. We're not sure how she is with cats but that can be tested. Lily is housebroke and crate trained. Her adoption fee is $250 with an approved application (plus the fee towards mileage for any home visit/possible adoption). There is more information on the adoption application. If ... Rescue Me ID: 17-07-07-00087Taz (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Taz is a 2.5 year old pure bred Siberian husky neutered male. His owners no longer wanted him and relinquished ownership to me. Since then, he has gotten his vaccines, a microchip and has been neutered. He is super friendly with both people and other dogs. I'm not sure how he does with cats, since we don't have one and he's never been exposed to them. He has gotten a full health work up and he is very healthy. He needs an active owner that will have the time and patience to train him. Email me with inquiries. All possible adopters must fill out an application (which will be emailed to you after inquiry), have a home check, and go through the ... (Read More)standard adoption/rescue process. He has a $400 adoption fee (for the neuter, bloodwork, microchip and vaccines), but this can be negotiated if necessary. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-27-00481Chevayo (male)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Cheveyo. I am a 3.5 year old husky mix. I have lots of energy but mind well. I know how to sit, wait and stay. I am very intelligent. I am house and crate trained. I love toys, and I am very playful. When I first meet people I like to try to act like the boss, so I need someone that will put me in my place right away. I would love to go to a home with someone that has husky knowledge and that will keep up on my training and show me new things to learn. I would do best in a home without very young kids only because I may jump on them and accidentally knock them down. I am up to date on all vaccines, neutered, treated for ... (Read More)fleas and heartworm negative. I will also be chipped before leaving rescue. I should go to a home with a high wooden fence. I can and will climb even very tall wire fences. I do quite well on a least requiring minimal corrections. I do not do so well with small animals but I do wonderful with other dogs my size or bigger. NO CATS, I hate them! I would love to have a home with another energetic dog! If you want an awesome boy, that's me!! (a foster home would be considered!!) (Less)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I am a 3.5 year old husky/lab mix. I love other dogs of all sizes. I love kids and all people and am kennel and house trained. I should not be placed in a home with cats as I don't like them at all. I am very sweet and gentle. I weigh 58.9 pounds. I like to go on runs, walks and I like car rides! I know how to sit, stay, wait and if you place a treat on my paw I'll wait for you to remove it and offer it to me before I take it. Aren't I a good boy? I also walk well on a leash with minimal corrections. The husky in me though means that if I get off leash or out of a fenced area I will run and not come back. Oh I love to RUN! I have ... (Read More)also been known to dart out doors too so you have to watch me real closely. I have what they call separation anxiety so I have to be kenneled when I'm left home alone. A 6 ft. wood or chain fence would be perfect for me. Please consider me! Fill out an adoption application here www.fewstepsfromhome.com (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
