Rescue Me ID: 18-04-24-00104Hope (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This pretty girl is 'Hope' (3 She is a 1.5 year old, 50lb Husky blend. She is true to the characteristics of the breed, so an adopter who is familiar is preferred. Hope is both crate and house trained, but still needs some leash work as she pulls - especially when excited. She also can be very nippy during playtime, so a home with children 10 and up would be best. Hope is an overall pleasant girl - but very active. She will need a contained yard and commitment to continued training. She is a smart cookie - so training should go well for the person who invests it in her. Hope is missing one toe on her one paw :/ We are not sure if that was ... (Read More)due to injury or something genetic. What we do know though, is that it does not affect her one bit! Hope can also be quite the Lovebug and can be generous with kisses. She seems very loyal to her person but will push to see what she can get away with :O She definitely needs a home where boundaries are set and enforced. If you think this pretty girl could be the right companion for you - please do not hesitate to send an inquiry today! Hope is fully vetted and microchipped. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost Michigan Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies were imported to Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush. Huskies are named after tribes of Inuits called Huskies. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
