Meet our new dog Kobe! He is a 2 year old Siberian Husky who was surrendered by his owners after being hit by a car but he is in perfect health. He loves other dogs and people but we are unsure how he is with cats. He is your typical young Husky who is very athletic and has jumped fences in his previous home and will run if let off leash. He knows sit and shake but could use some consistent training and would love the extra attention. He needs a home that will provide him with a lot of exercise and has time for proper grooming for his thick coat. He is being fostered at CBW Hudsonville. Please call to set up a time to visit Kobe at the Hudsonville location if you are interested in meeting him. (616) 896-9663 (Less)

Mika is a husky who loves to walk and play. She des NOT like cats and small dogs (under 25 lbs) or very small kids (under 6 years old)as they are too active for her. She is a blond husky and loves her owners.

Duke is just over 2 years old. He was a rescue that I fostered from our family's veterinary clinic to socialize. He's now ready for a forever home. He lives with 2 other dogs and a cat now, with no issues, although he will occasionally chase after the cat. He wants to play and doesn't understand why she doesn't like him. He's housebroken, but crate trained for when no one is home. He needs a fenced in yard to run. He smiles and talks back to you. Very lovable guy.

I have to rehome my 2 year old husky mix, Keiko. I have no idea what she's mixed with, but she looks mostly husky. She is up to date on shots (I have the papers), but heart worm meds. She is house broken. She comes with the following: )Food (Dry and Canned) )Dog crate (But she doesn't like to use it) )Toys )Shampoo )A de-sheding brush )A bed )One leash and an Outdoor leash )Harness )Multiple types of treats )Food & Water bowl )2 Months of flee meds I have to rehome her because she doesn't get along with our cats. She seems to get along with other dogs in the neighborhood, but she does seem to get annoyed if they sniff her for too long. Would probably be best to go to a home where she's the only animal. She is the perfect size for apartments because she's half the size for an adult husky and she doesn't really bark at all. She loves going on walks and is pretty good while on walks, of course will try to attack squirrels like any other dog. I don't want to get rid of her, but she doesn't get along with my cats I've had for years and vice versa. She's an amazing companion, though (Less)

I've had Benelli since Nevember 2015, she showed up at my house as a stray. She is a little over a year old. She knows basic commands and is potty trained. I had her vaccinated and licensed. I can't keep her because of my current living arrangement restrictions.

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] With a heavy heart, I am posting our family pet for rehoming. She has been part of our family for 9 years and we love her very much but now we lack the finances and time to care for her the way that she deserves. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but it is still far off and I don't want her to go without the care she needs until then. So, I have made the very difficult decision to rehome her. She is independent, energetic, playful, stubborn like only a husky can be and sometimes just plain goofy. She loves to sing to the blues and Jack Johnson and is almost impossible to catch if you let her off-leash. She loves car rides and early morning runs. She is always up for a game of tug-o-war or just chasing a ball. She is fairly patient with kids but if provoked she has growled and nipped. For this reason she is better with older children. She has been incontinent since she was spayed at 7 months and has allergies, both of which can be controlled with medication. I am looking for a person or family with a big heart and the time and energy to devote to a beautiful, independent, energetic husky. (Less)

In search of an amazing home for our dog Dublin. He is a great dog with a lot of energy. The only reason we are letting him go is because he isn't the greatest with small children. He has never bitten or hurt anyone, however he is a little aggressive and possessive when it comes to food or snacks on the ground. We have a growing family and have tried everything to keep him. Just think he would be a better fit with someone without children and a lot of room for him to run! He is neutered and up to date. Serious inquiries only...will have a lot of questions to ensure he is going to a loving home!

Hi! My name is Cheveyo. I am a 3.5 year old husky mix. I have lots of energy but mind well. I know how to sit, wait and stay. I am very intelligent. I am house and crate trained. I love toys, and I am very playful. When I first meet people I like to try to act like the boss, so I need someone that will put me in my place right away. I would love to go to a home with someone that has husky knowledge and that will keep up on my training and show me new things to learn. I would do best in a home without very young kids only because I may jump on them and accidentally knock them down. I am up to date on all vaccines, neutered, treated for fleas and heartworm negative. I will also be chipped before leaving rescue. I should go to a home with a high wooden fence. I can and will climb even very tall wire fences. I do quite well on a least requiring minimal corrections. I do not do so well with small animals but I do wonderful with other dogs my size or bigger. I would love to have a home with another energetic dog! If you want an awesome boy, that's me!! (a foster home would be considered!!) (Less)

I am a 3.5 year old husky/lab mix. I love other dogs of all sizes. I love kids and all people and am kennel and house trained. I should not be placed in a home with cats as I don't like them at all. I am very sweet and gentle. I weigh 58.9 pounds. I like to go on runs, walks and I like car rides! I know how to sit, stay, wait and if you place a treat on my paw I'll wait for you to remove it and offer it to me before I take it. Aren't I a good boy? I also walk well on a leash with minimal corrections. The husky in me though means that if I get off leash or out of a fenced area I will run and not come back. Oh I love to RUN! I have also been known to dart out doors too so you have to watch me real closely. I have what they call separation anxiety so I have to be kenneled when I'm left home alone. A 6 ft. wood or chain fence would be perfect for me. Please consider me! Fill out an adoption application here www.fewstepsfromhome.com (Less)

Hello there! My name is Max. I have a bit of a sad story. My mommy had to give me up because I nipped at someone and bit another. It wasn't a bad bite but enough for mommy to say she was going to have to put me down. One of her friends heard about this and contacted this rescue asking for help. They thankfully saved my life. They accepted me into their program. I am a great boy once I get to know someone. I am leery of new people, especially men, but once I get to know and trust them, I'm fine. I am approximately 3.5 years old. I am a German shepherd/husky mix. I do well with most dogs but small dogs and kitties and me do not mix. Blame that on the husky side of me! I am playful and love to sit and cuddle. I know how to sit, lay down, shake, stay....so as you can see I am very very smart. When you say "go home", I know exactly what to do. That means go into my kennel. I always like to take one of my toys from my kennel with me when I go outside. I should probably be placed in a home with kids 15 years or older only. I need a stable home with mature owners. I ride wonderfully in the car and get very excited for car rides. I love to go for walks and walk wonderful on the leash. I should go to a home with a 6 foot high fenced in yard. I am a bigger boy who likes to roam and explore. So if you are experienced with a dog like me and can work on more training with me then I would LOVE to meet you! Love always, Max. (a foster home would be considered!!) (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan|
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
