Rescue Me ID: 16-05-05-00486Duke Nuke'm (male)
Duke is just over 2 years old. He was a rescue that I fostered from our family's veterinary clinic to socialize. He's now ready for a forever home. He lives with 2 other dogs and a cat now, with no issues, although he will occasionally chase after the cat. He wants to play and doesn't understand why she doesn't like him. He's housebroken, but crate trained for when no one is home. He needs a fenced in yard to run. He smiles and talks back to you. Very lovable guy.

I have to rehome my 2 year old husky mix, Keiko. I have no idea what she's mixed with, but she looks mostly husky. She is up to date on shots (I have the papers), but heart worm meds. She is house broken. She comes with the following: )Food (Dry and Canned) )Dog crate (But she doesn't like to use it) )Toys )Shampoo )A de-sheding brush )A bed )One leash and an Outdoor leash )Harness )Multiple types of treats )Food & Water bowl )2 Months of flee meds I have to rehome her because she doesn't get along with our cats. She seems to get along with other dogs in the neighborhood, but she does seem to get annoyed if they sniff her for too long. Would probably be best to go to a home where she's the only animal. She is the perfect size for apartments because she's half the size for an adult husky and she doesn't really bark at all. She loves going on walks and is pretty good while on walks, of course will try to attack squirrels like any other dog. I don't want to get rid of her, but she doesn't get along with my cats I've had for years and vice versa. She's an amazing companion, though (Less)

I've had Benelli since Nevember 2015, she showed up at my house as a stray. She is a little over a year old. She knows basic commands and is potty trained. I had her vaccinated and licensed. I can't keep her because of my current living arrangement restrictions.

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-18-00600Ice (female)
Hi, I am looking to re-home my Husky because my work hours have become heavy and I had recently started my own business which keeps me away from home even more. Husky's are obviously not meant to be cooped up all day and my backyard only has a 4 foot fence which Husky's are notorious for jumping and I can not bare to leave here on her tie-out for extended hours in fear of her getting tangled up etc. My requirements for ownership are solid with little exceptions. Ice was originally from a purebred farm in Ohio where my kids mother had gotten her as a puppy, she is approximately 2 1/2 years old and still has a good amount of 'puppy' in her. She Does Require an experienced owner with the capability of continuing her training and understands the true nature of a Husky's personality. She understands simple phrases (Go outside, Sit, Lay, Potty, Treat etc) She is NOT Crate trained and I will NOT release her to an owner who plans on putting her in a crate period. She is past the age where she will become comfortable with that. Preferably a large yard with a 6-foot fence where she can run freely throughout the day. She Does Good with kids and new faces in general. She is Not overly aggressive but has spent most of her life with me (male adult) where we will play 'rough' so-to-speak but she changes pace quick once little ones come around. She is Very smart and knows what she is doing, stubborn like most Huskys but a loving, energetic family dog. Due-Diligence: Husky's Are Escape Artist and Love to Run. She has escaped plenty of times through the years but I have either personally caught her or the local authorities have where I just grab her from the Vet Hospital. Hence the 6-foot fence preference. Re-homing an animal will require an adjustment period and the owner must understand that and not be quick to re-home her if she doesn't act as expected soon after obtaining. By my description you can tell I am serious about finding the right home for Ice because she is a Great Husky that diserves the space she needs and the time spent with 'humans' that I can not offer anymore. Thank You, Feel free to contact me at 313-909-7480 with ANY Questions. Matt (Less)

Animal ID: 1081Anya (female)
This gorgeous girl is Anya. Anya is a 12 year old, retired sled dog. This sweet husky has spent most of her life pulling a sled, and is now looking for a comfortable retirement home. Anya would be best suited for a home without cats or small dogs, and with a fenced in yard she can run and play in. She can be a little picky about other big dogs, but prefers male dogs that let her be the boss. Anya is extremely intelligent and would make a great companion and walking buddy! Are you interested in meeting Anya? Please fill out a Pre-Adoption Application at www.mosseyhollow.com

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] With a heavy heart, I am posting our family pet for rehoming. She has been part of our family for 9 years and we love her very much but now we lack the finances and time to care for her the way that she deserves. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but it is still far off and I don't want her to go without the care she needs until then. So, I have made the very difficult decision to rehome her. She is independent, energetic, playful, stubborn like only a husky can be and sometimes just plain goofy. She loves to sing to the blues and Jack Johnson and is almost impossible to catch if you let her off-leash. She loves car rides and early morning runs. She is always up for a game of tug-o-war or just chasing a ball. She is fairly patient with kids but if provoked she has growled and nipped. For this reason she is better with older children. She has been incontinent since she was spayed at 7 months and has allergies, both of which can be controlled with medication. I am looking for a person or family with a big heart and the time and energy to devote to a beautiful, independent, energetic husky. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-10-00516Dublin (male)
In search of an amazing home for our dog Dublin. He is a great dog with a lot of energy. The only reason we are letting him go is because he isn't the greatest with small children. He has never bitten or hurt anyone, however he is a little aggressive and possessive when it comes to food or snacks on the ground. We have a growing family and have tried everything to keep him. Just think he would be a better fit with someone without children and a lot of room for him to run! He is neutered and up to date. Serious inquiries only...will have a lot of questions to ensure he is going to a loving home!

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-14-00540Remy (male)
Remy is super smart and happy! He is very active and needs a lot of discipline and training. He has had problems with biting/protective behavior over our children. I know that an individual with experience training a husky can be successful in helping him past these problems! He is playful and good with other dogs, a little dominant/tough with our cat. He does have food allergies and requires hydrolyzed dog food (very expensive!) Remy will make a great companion he just needs an experienced hand to help him mature.

Hi! My name is Cheveyo. I am a 2 year old husky mix. I have lots of energy but mind well. I know how to sit and stay. I am very intelligent. I am house and crate trained as well. I love toys, and I am very playful. When I first meet people I like to try to act like the boss, so I need someone who will put me in my place right away. I would love to go to a home with someone that has husky knowledge and who will keep up on my training and show me new things to learn. I would do best in a home without very young kids only because I may jump on them and accidentally knock them down. I am up to date on all vaccines, neutered, treated for fleas and heartworm negative. I will also be chipped before leaving rescue. I should go to a home with a high wooden fence. I can and will climb even very tall wire fences. I do not do so well with small animals but I do wonderful with other dogs my size or bigger. If you want an awesome boy, that's me!! A foster home would also be considered!! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-10-16-00132Nema (female)
LOCATION: E.LANSING MI As time has went on, Nema's true personality has really shown through. Where to start... Well her personality and temperament is DEFINITELY more GSD than Husky. For that reason she is only going to an experienced GSD family. She has some major guarding/protective tendencies and if not placed in the right home that could be very bad for her. Her natural protectiveness has caused her to lash out and defend without much warning. She has gone to a bootcamp with a wonderful trainer who specializes in GSD's and she is doing AMAZING working on her training with her foster mom. She is learning to look to her handler for direction rather than taking matters into her own hands. In a few short weeks she has come so far. Continued training will be require for any potential adopters. Nema will also need a home that does NOT have small children; while I think that should would be naturally protective of her family, I'd rather not have children so young that don't understand her threshold. She has some pretty severe separation anxiety. She had caused massive amounts of damage to her snout trying to escape her crate; she had destroyed many so we have her in a heavy duty steel crate that seems to be doing the trick. She is VERY loyal to those she knows; to a fault. She gets along with the other dogs in the home (for the most part; if someone starts something she will NOT back down though) She lives with cats, and although she likes to chase them on occasion she listens amazing well and will sleep and snuggle with them too. TO BE CLEAR: We have never seen her be aggressive; most of her behaviors are either protective or defensive in nature. If interested you can also purchase her crate at the cost we paid $170. It's one of the indestructible crates. She gets along great with the other dogs at the foster home; but an overbearing or bully personality would be a challenge. Cats, well her foster mom has cats and while she would like to chase them she listens well and cuddles with them often. Application, Home visit, and contract apply $300 adoption fee. |Rescue Me ID: 15-01-02-00534Max (male)|
Hello there! My name is Max. I have a bit of a sad story. My mommy had to give me up because I nipped at someone and bit another. It wasn't a bad bite but enough for mommy to say she was going to have to put me down. One of her friends heard about this and contacted this rescue asking for help. They thankfully saved my life. They accepted me into their program. I am a great boy once I get to know someone. I am leery of new people that is why I MUST go to an experienced adopter. I am approximately 3.5 years old. I am a German shepherd/husky mix. I do well with most dogs, especially neutered dogs, but kitties and me do not mix. Blame that on the husky side of me! I am playful and love to sit and cuddle. I know how to sit, lay down, shake, stay so..... as you can see I am very very smart. When you say go home, I know exactly what to do. That means go into my kennel. Kids I probably should not be placed with. I ride wonderful in the car and get very excited for car rides. I love to go for walks and walk wonderful on the leash. I should go to a home with a 6 foot high fenced in yard. I am a bigger boy who likes to roam and explore. So if you are experienced with a dog like me and can work on more training with me then I would LOVE to meet you! Max (foster home would be considered!!) (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Michigan
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
