Rescue Me ID: 14-10-30-00086Kato (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Kato, he is a 3 year old male.He has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. He is missing his tale from an attack by a larger animal when he broke out of the yard. He is a good boy but needs PLENTY of space to run and it must be fenced in. He is aggressive when eating, but great with children otherwise. He is very dominant and rough with our other dog who is elderly. He is looking for a home with more space and room to run. Also, someone with more time to train. He's a bit stubborn, to say the least.

This a beautiful female husky. Has never been aggressive but has not been socialized very well. Has spent most of her life leashed in the back yard and then brought to basement to sleep at night. No bites or attacks. 7 years old. Her family has moved and the person who took the dog in order to find a home hasnt yet and wants to put her down tomorrow. Please let me know if there is an alternative. I would hate to see this beautiful animal killed for no reason.

Vito has had a rough start to his short life. Vito is just over a year old and was his Dad's pride and joy. Sadly, Vito's Dad recently passed away from cancer, leaving poor Vito behind with no one to love him. Vito is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested (negative), and microchipped. Vito needs a home with no small dogs as he plays a little to rough with them. *Note - Vito is currently located in Florida, but transportation will be provided to an adopter in the New England area.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Massachusetts
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
