Trying to help a person who took in her neighbor's Husky when the neighbor moved and was going to abandon it last week. Unfortunately her baby daughter is severely allergic and now the dog is in the back hall barking all night and day and the landlord/neighbors are not happy, given her 2 days to get rid of him. The minute he's let inside he's quiet, lays down and plays/gets petted. But that's how they found out their baby girl was allergic - had to bring her to the hospital she was breathing so harshly. The back story is all a bit fuzzy since I don't really know her but I am just trying to help the dog. The neighbor app gave her his ... (Read More)meds which were 3 months passed their expiration date (former owner neglected dog) but she was told by a vet that it was ok to give him them. They're for thyroid she thinks - and app he's got some fatty tissue on his side - no idea. He's in healthy shape - not sickly, running around, happy - so I don't know. But he needs help asap or they're going to have to bring him to whatever shelter they can find THIS WEEK. (Less)

I have a pitbull mix that was born April 10th 2013 so he's just over 1 year old. He had 1 brownish green eye and one blue eye as he is part huskey. He's a very loving dog. Gets along great with my 14 year old yorkie. When he first meets new people he barks and howls for about 5 minutes but after that he is the biggest baby. He loves to play and cuddle. Always has to be toutching you when he's sleeping. So far when he has seen a new dog other then my yorkie he freaks out so I cant recommend him to a home with other dogs. Cats should be ok but still I wouldn't recommend. He's good with kids but again it still takes him a few minutes to get use ... (Read More)to anyone he meets. Ive never had any problems with him regarding aggression he has never bit anyone or anything like that. Just a lot of baking when he meets someone new. He's a great dog and needs a great home with a loving family. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Massachusetts
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost Massachusetts Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Teams of Huskies were used during Gunnar Kaasen's 1925 run to deliver diphtheria vaccine to Nome. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
