Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Nova is a young husky (she may be a husky-mix.. we are not entirely sure). She has a lighter coat, but she does have the husky 'odd eyes! She was dumped at Yongin Pound in South Korea. She is not on the Euth list, so she is not in immediate danger. She has no known health problems, and will be spayed soon, as well as getting the rest of her vaccinations. The adoption see covers her spay, vaccinations and travel costs. She would fly to JFK at a time convenient to you, but you would have to meet her at the airport.     Bella is a very sweet high energy girl who needs lots of exercise to get that energy spent. Loves people and kids but would do best with older kids due to boisterous character. Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

UPDATE: ADOPTION PENDING We have received an adoption application for Jet and are working with his potential adopter to get him to the US ASAP. If he can find a home, he will be vaccinated and neutered before he arrives in the US.If we can find him a home, then we can pull him and get him to Boston (we fly all dogs from Korea in through JFK). He is nice to volunteers and is friendly. He has not been tested around kids or other animals, but he has not shown ... (Read More)any aggression to the other dogs at the pound. He is estimated to be a year old: he was purchased as a puppy from a breeder, but was dumped when he grew (a very common even in South Korea, unfortunately) (Less)

Dakota is a handsome 4-year-old American bulldog/husky mix who loves nothing better than spending time with family. He is crate trained, but is also fine spending time alone in the house. A typical day for Dakota would be outdoor playtime that might include: walking, running, hiking or jumping around in the snow. Indoors he prefers to stay close by one or all of the family members. He likes playing with other dogs and is good with kids. The perfect home for Dakota would be an active family with large dog experience committed to building on his basic training skills. PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Massachusetts
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.

lnteresting Siberian Husky Trivia Low-Cost Massachusetts Spay & Neuter Clinics
Huskies were bred from dogs indigenous to the Siberian Arctic. Huskies were imported to Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush. Teams of Huskies were used during Gunnar Kaasen's 1925 run to deliver diphtheria vaccine to Nome. The last Siberian Huskies were exported from Siberia in 1930, after which the Soviet government closed the country's borders to outside trade.
