Rex is a playful 2 1/2-year-old boxer/husky mix who is looking for a home with an active family. Rex loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. He is too big to live with small kids so we suggest teenagers. Rex likes other dogs but he plays rough so he needs a dog to match his play style. He lived with a cat before and they were best buds! Rex needs to work in his leash training and learn not to jump on people. However, he is a lot of fun and will make someone a great companion!     Marleigh is a 5 year old female Husky/Lab Mix and is looking for a forever home. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and due to the hours that I work I am unable to give her the attention/exercise she needs. She is now being crated during the day while I am at work and that is not the life I want her to have. Marleigh needs a home where she has a fenced in yard to get plenty of exercise in- if Marleigh is off her leash she will take off which is why a fenced in yard is important. She loves to run and go walks. She enjoys swimming and playing Frisbee. Marleigh is great with kids, adults, and other dogs. She will go after a cat though if ... (Read More)she sees one outside- she does not get along with cats. It breaks my heart to have to re-home her, but it is in her best interest. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Massachusetts
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
