Rescue Me ID: 16-05-24-00378Nibbles (male)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Courtesy for TCAS shelter--Nibbles is a white and brown male Australian Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix. He is approximately 3 years, 1 month old. He has been neutered. Nibbles is a dominant boy who would benifit from basic obediance training. During his time in the shelter we have learned very quickly that he would prefer minimal physical control and to be treated like the King he hopes to be. With this being said we think that Nibbles would do best in a home without children. During his assessment he chose not to interact with other dogs, so he may like some but not all. If you have what it takes to help this dog and make him the ideal ... (Read More)dog, please contact us and we will help! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-19-00509Beaker (male)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Beaker is one of the 'Muppets' litter! He is a 10 week old Shep/Husky/Lab/Rottie mix...can you tell that we're not quite sure exactly what mix they are smile emoticon He is the only one that came out black & white. We were told that Mom was at least half husky and some of his marking are reminiscent of that. He is somewhat smaller than his brothers but is still going to be a nice sized boy. He is doing well with housebreaking...no #2 accidents yet just some piddles here and there. He is fostered with children, a cat and other big doggies. He gets along well with his furry foster siblings. He does like to bark quite a bit at the cat and when ... (Read More)the cat isn't fast enough he tries to play with him like he's another dog but the cat isn't down with that! This Beaker boy is ready to come home to your house. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-04-00601Gunner (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Vaccinations Current

hello husky families We are currently in a heartbreaking situation trying to figure out what's best for our sweet boy Gunner . Gunner came to us in late October 2015 in a very bad shape his previous owners had hidden the truth about his health and after much research we were able to get his medical history that he was diagnosed with kidney failure after the previous owners failed to get him help for a UTI of Ecoli .We've now switched his diet (kd diet) and is taking aluminum hydroxide gel (teaspoon) twice a day in his kidney food . With his treatment he has improved so much And isn't the Gunner we've met back in October . We take him to ... (Read More)the vet to get a kidney profile done and so far his kidney levels are great and can keep him there for a long time if we keep him well monitored with his diet plan . The problem now is my gf has worked from home and was able to watch gunner all day but recently work schedule has changed and she can no longer watch gunner like before because she works 8 hours a day I get home around 4 that's where I take him to the dog park everyday but my gf and I feel very bad for Gunner leaving him in his kennel for many hours alone and due to his condition it is very important he drinks water because we want to keep his kidneys as 'normal' as possible . I've been finding dog walkers every day to walk gunner but everyday is getting to expensive , our financial situation can't meet his needs and we can only do so much . We've made so much changes in our life just for him because we Love him and wouldn't want him to go to a shelter, they wouldn't give him a chance and would euthanize him. Shelters are not an option ! We called husky rescues and wouldn't except him because he is 'sick' and wouldn't be able to give him his treatment plan (kd food brand that is by prescription by vet about $ 2.50/can 40$/12 cans and aluminum hydroxide gel 15$ for 30 days worth) as you can see it all adds up and it is a commitment and a big responsibility to take. If u can please pass this along and see if anybody that is willing to take gunner and find him a good home We been spoiling him so much because of his Condition and he has a very social life . If you know of anyone who can give him the time and the financial commitment and knows his breed well , we would be so grateful. We just hope they can see that theirs a soul in there and will give him that chance as well. 240 380 5739 John (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-25-00626Bandit (male)

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bandit is a 3 year old husky that I have had since birth. He has lived with his blood brother at my home since then. The two together require more attention than I can currently provide, and it isn't in me to get rid of one and keep one. They are outside dogs for us, and escape artists to say the least. When they are split up, they behave like saint's, when they're together they're double trouble. He is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and would do great with a family who can give him plenty of attention. It breaks my heart to even have to write this, but they belong in a home where he can get all of the attention he needs.

Siberian Husky    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Diesel has been my baby boy for 3 years, I have had him and his blood brother since they were born. He is well behaved for his age and being a husky. He is a ball of energy yet gentle at the same time. He and his brother together are too much for me to handle at this point in time. He is as loving as a dog can get, and everyone loves him. As much as it saddens me to even write this, I know he will be better off with a family that has time to love him like I have.

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

Hello! This beautiful lady is Bingo. She was brought to the Veterinary Clinic I work at, to be surrendered by an owner who could no longer take care of her, and did not really take care of her in the first place. She is very sweet, and affectionate. She is probably the most lovable couch potato you will ever meet. She does have some arthritis in her legs but she loves getting out into nature and basking in the sun. Please give this sweet heart a chance to find the home she deserves!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Maryland
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
