Going through a divorce and both parties would like this awesome dog go to a owner who will continue to spoil him. He is awesome with people, loves to talk to you. He is very chilled inside the home, and loves to run outside. He could be a house dog as long as you give him plenty of exercise.

Estimated Breed: Carolina has bright blue eyes and a smile that lights up a room! We cannot be sure about her past, but we think she has some husky and some boxer in her! Approximate Age: 1 year old Approximate Weight: 40-45 pounds Carolina and her five pups arrived in the DC area because they were ready for some forever home happiness! No matter when you see this sweet girl, she always has a smile on her face and is happy to see new faces! Carolina was an amazing mom to her puppies and always protected them! But now it is her turn to put her feet up and enjoy some forever home belly rubs! If you are ready to bring Carolina into your family, please send in an application today! She will always be the sunshine in your day! She has a lot of energy and will need an active home. She tends to overwhelm a lot of dogs as she is very playful and will growl when playing. |Rescue Me ID: 15-06-04-00212Coulson (aka Denali) (male)|
For application: http://www.capitolcanines.org/ Coulson is a handsome 1-year old, 50lb husky mix. He came from NC where he repeatedly ended up in a shelter because his owner was letting him run free. In January, he was taken in by a good Samaritan and then came up to a Capitol Canines foster June 1st. He has a typical husky personality, which means lots of energy, love and the occasional serenade :-). He's house and crate trained and is working on basic commands and manners. He would love a big yard and doggy playmate, and of course a loving family to give all his snuggles and kisses to. In the video, he's tiring out my 4-year old husky mix, Misha. Please let me know if you any have questions about him or go to the CCAR website at the top. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-15-00660Zeus (male)|
Zeus is a very intelligent and loving dog. We are his 4th home since he was born. I have had him about 3 months now. He is 6 months old. He is very shy around strangers. He also has a hard time being left alone. He will howl and cry when put in his crate. There are times he is so afraid when left alone that he will urinate or poop in his crate. I have tried leaving him outside, but the neighbors complained of the barking. I just do not have the space for him to be left when we are not home. He needs to be left with other dogs to help control his anxiety. He is currently on Prozac to help. All around he is perfect until it's time for us to leave. He attends a doggie day care while I am at work and he does very well there. I need something more long term for him. Either help with his behavior or a home that would be perfect for his needs. I don't want to give him up, but I believe it might be for the best. Adoption fee is negotiable. We are currently paying months payments to the veterinarian for his medical bills totaling over $1,000. Plus we originally paid a $400 adoption fee. I would include his XL crate, collar, lease, medication and food. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Maryland|
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
