Currently if his male owner is gone for more than a few hours, Drake may increase in anxiety and aggression towards female owner, and growl or snap if someone attempts to get him out of his kennel for things such as eating or going outside. Drake needs a dominant ... (Read More)owner that can spend a lot of time with him to keep him from becoming anxious and aggressive. Drake has always been friendly towards children, however now his family has an active toddler that may stumble towards Drake as he lays in his bed or kennel causing Drake to growl or snap. (Less)

He is neutered and up to date on shots. He did test low heartworm positive, but it was so low the vet recommended just placing him on prevention and letting the worms die off naturally. He gets along well with children and other dogs, but needs a home without cats. Poor buster was found as a stray and his owner could never be found so he is now in search of a new person to call his own.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Louisiana
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
