Rescue Me ID: 14-02-26-00008Bella (female)
Bella is a siberian husky - Alaskan malamute (with possible Shepard blood). Bella has mostly been outside but has spent time in the house and is partially house trained. She does OK with the dogs in her household when under supervision. She is an extremely submissive dog and is not appropriate for children that do not have extensive training in dog handling. It would be best for Bella to have some help with socialization. Her family must regime her due to a divorce that is sudden and is going rough.

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-13-00147Ajax (male)
Ajax is a fun loving husky who needs a good home. He needs lots of exercise and a home without smaller children. We have an infant right now, and he is just too big to be around her. He is very good with bigger kids and adults. He is good with most dogs, he just tries to be alpha and sometimes that can be a problem. He also needs a house with a yard and a fence.

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-02-00317Mia (female)
Mia is a beautiful Siberian husky/German Shepherd mix who is 7 years old. Her left eye was removed due to glaucoma. However, she doesn't know that there is anything missing! Mia is a fun loving girl. Her family kept her outdoors and never had time for her, so she is hoping that someone will over look her missing eye and the fact that she is not a young pup and give her a chance to be with a family, indoors, where she will be loved and taken care of for the rest of her life. Mia would do best with kids 13 and up. Adoption fee includes spay, all vaccinations, worming, heartworm check (negative) and monthly heartworm preventative while at our facility and microchip. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-01-27-00044Alex (male)
We are trying to place a pit bull/husky mix names Alex. Alex was originally rescued by my sister from the last people who had him. He was left outdoors on a chain for over 2 years without love attention or proper nourishment. He was left to suffer through all the elements. My sister upon rescuing Alex immediately took him to a vet and got him proper medical attention, and provided him with a loving home, attention and proper nourishment. Despite Alex's prior circumstances he is a very gentle and loving soul and very well behaved. He is house broken, and very obedient. Alex is a very handsome 80 lb pit bull/husky mix. He is white with light brown ears. He has one blue eye and one brown eye, and weight about 80 lbs. He interacts well with most dogs, however he does not interact well with cats at all. He interacts very well with adults and children. Due to a recent change of circumstances my sister is no longer able to provide Alex with the care he needs and is currently living outdoors with only a small plastic dog house for shelter. It is a very sad situation. This little guy really deserves better. He needs to be in a home with a family who give him the love and attention he needs. Alex would more than likely fare best as an only pet, but can successfully be around other dogs, but no cats. I will not be posting a picture until later today, however I do intend to do so by mid after noon. If you would like to rescue Alex from his dire circumstances or if Alex sounds like the dog for you and/or you and your family please contact us anytime of the day or night at home phone 765-962-5923 or cell phone 765-960-8570. your help is greatly appreciated. |Rescue Me ID: 13-10-20-00610Rixie (female)|
Rixie: 2 year old german shepherd / husky mix 70 lbs; potty trained; good with people, kids, some dogs 'You will never meet a more faithful and devoted girl than our 2 year old Rixie! When she chooses her favorite human, that lucky someone becomes her everything ... the light of her life ... the alpha to her omega. Although she saves a special place in her heart for her cherished person, she's friendly and congenial with everyone she meets. Her eyes light up, her tail wags and she gives the nicest kisses if you come over to meet her. She adores car rides, playing with toys and making new friends; she's also potty trained and crate trained so will be easy to transition to a new home. Because of the strength of Rixie's affinity for her treasured individual, she prefers to be an only dog so that she can enjoy being the center of attention. Her adoption fee is $150; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.' (Less)

Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
