Neeko is s great dog but due to life circumstances, I am looking to find him a wonderful home that he needs and deserves. He needs lots of love and exercise. He's a typical Husky that loves to run. He's so friendly, loves everyone and would make a great pet for someone who has more time to give him and a secure place to run.

Meet Miss Lucy, a delightful, charming and beautiful female Husky/Border Collie mix (?). Lucy was found as a stray in rural Kentucky so her breed and age is an educated guess. This sweet lady was found heavily pregnant by a good samaritan. They took her in but knew they would not be able to care for a mom and new born pups so they brought her to a local animal control facility. A chaotic and crowded pound is no place for a new mama to raise pups so a plea for rescue was sent out. We heard the plea and got Lucy and her precious newborn puppies up to Chicago where they were placed into an experienced and nurturing foster home. Lucy has been a ... (Read More)phenomenal mother to her 8 pups. Her babies are now 8 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes and so is Lucy! She is extraordinarily friendly and absolutely adores people! She loves making new friends and is filled with tail wags, snuggles, and kisses for everyone she meets. Lucy is also being fostered with several other dogs and does well with them too. Lucy is quiet and well behaved in the home and is crate trained and housebroken. She is a bit of a climber though and easily hops over the baby gates in the home. She would need a 6-foot privacy fence in her new home or a family who does not mind leash walking. She will climb over a chain link fence. She is playful and active, but not as high energy as some dogs of her breed type. Still, she is young and will benefit from a home that can provide her with daily exercise and mental stimulation. Lucy is anxious to meet her forever family, could it be yours!? Lucy is now spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $275. She is in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved. For more information or for an adoption application, please email 'ۢLucy's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, initial worming, and microchip. Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

I have a Siberian Husky, Neiko, 3, male, that came to us via an odd path. We already have 4 dogs and the addition of the husky has been challenging, there is too much stress among all the dogs. We don't have the proper space to allow him to release his energy. After several months of working with Neiko we can no longer keep him, I thought we could help him and give him a great home, we do not have the skill level needed to raise a happy husky. Please contact me as soon as possible, we need to make some decisions quickly to find Neiko a new home. Best, Ben (630) 884-8223

This handsome boy was in a very high kill animal shelter and was going to be put down due to space. His family who had him left him there to die because he wouldn't stay home. He could jump a 4 foot fence, he no longer does here. They said he was 2 years old, he is now 4 years old, sadly he has been stuck for 2 years waiting for a home. He is black with a gray muzzle, and built like a husky, moves and acts like a husky and can yodel, but has semi floppy ears, weighs about 55 pounds. He was very skinny when we first rescued him. He is sweet, bold, and fine with most dogs, even small dogs. He loves attention once he know you but until then ... (Read More)is very indifferent and unsure. He has a more independent personality. He has little interest in cats. His favorite way to play is to race around the yard with another dog chasing him. Other then those occasional sprints he doesn't really play much. He's a very mellow boy. Crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Current or recent past vet clinics number, and contract is required to adopt. PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Illinois
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
