|Rescue Me ID: 17-08-15-00352RIVER (male)|
This handsome guy is River! He is a 8 year old Husky, weighing 66lbs, looking for his forever home. River is a lover, and he will tell you too! He lives up to the fact of Huskies being vocal souls.. He is great inside the home, not crating needed but he needs to have supervision while outside, he's an escape artist! He has a odd quirk of wanting to eat dirty socks or anything cloth material like, so must keep such things out of River's reach! River prefers a soft and comfy bed to sleep on. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. He would make a great walking buddy. River does however need to be in a gentle and more slower pace of a home. River has an old spinal injury that will flare up from time to time when he is too active. This can easily be treated with pain medication as needed. If a family is interested, it would be the best for River for the children to be older and respectful to not rough house with him. River is a great dog and full of personality. If interested, please contact us to setup a meet and greet. River is currently in a foster home. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-09-00343Vegas (female)|
Introducing Vegas! Vegas is 11-years-young and full of happy energy! This lady does not want to spend anymore time at the shelter than she has to. She is house trained, and walks well on the leash! Vegas is new to us and we are still learning about her but we know that she really loves people and would enjoy daily exercise! She knows some basic commands, 'sit, stay, and come.' Vegas loves chasing the ball still and loves to also cuddle up and nap in her bed. We have been told that Vegas does not appreciate other dog friends so she is looking for a home as an only dog or she could possibly enjoy having another mellow dog friend. A dog introduction will be necessary! Vegas did well meeting our office cats and we feel she could go to a home with a cat that is sure of itself and used to dogs. Come down and meet Vegas today! Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
