I have a 2 year old male siberian husky who needs to be re-homed. He was born on 10/20/2015 and is up to date on shots, micro chipped, and neutered. He is good with other dogs, loves people, and needs a home with a yard to be able to run and play. Hes potty trained, was crate trained (haven't had him in one in a while), loves car rides, hikes and walks and is a great alternative to someone not wanting to go through the puppy phase again. He is a beautiful reddish brown color and has a long coat. Please inquire with questions. He really is a sweet boy and while he loves people he is also very independent and loves doing his own thing.

|Rescue Me ID: 18-06-08-00255Deboo (male)|
Deboo is patiently waiting for his new forever home! He came to us as owner surrender. He had been through quite a bit; surviving a house fire, being threatened to be shot by neighbors because of his breed, and living outside 24/7. He is looking for a home where he will be a part of the family inside, receive tons of love, and be cared for properly! He is around 2.5yrs old and is a Pit bull/Husky mix. He weighs around 45lbs and is full grown. Deboo is pretty friendly with new people, but is a little standoffish with men at first. He has been around both small and big dogs and has done great, but a dog introduction is needed with any current dogs in the home to ensure it is a good fit. Deboo loves to play with toys especially balls, likes to go for walks, and also enjoys being pet and loved on. He is housebroken with or without a dog door but may need a reminder in a new home. Deboo loves treats! He just wants to be loved and part of the family inside where he can be near his people. Deboo would do best in a home with a 6ft block wall fence. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption comes with a free vet visit and 30 days of free insurance. His adoption fee is $40. NO RENTALS with any breed or weight restrictions. Home check required. To meet him, come to the shelter at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 18-06-02-00336HERO (male)|
SAY HELLO TO HERO! Hero is a beautiful and cuddly 3 year old Heeler / Husky mix boy. Weighing in at 52 pounds, Hero is a very special dog. He was found as a stray and has probably been deaf and blind since birth. Hero has a condition called Microopthalmia which just means his eyes did not develop properly. He is just so incredibly smart that in a familiar environment, you would never believe he is blind! He has a great nose and literally smells you where ever you are going. He is learning the leash and harness as he follows you everywhere, so his former owner never saw a need to teach him about a leash we think. He is a great companion and his disability is not a burden in any way. He is as functional as any dog in almost every way! Hero is both house and crated trained and will let you know if he needs to go out. He is very respectful to all he meets when he is on his leash taking in all the new scents. He is a gentleman in the car and is not at all barky. Hero would make a wonderful family. He like adults and kids alike, all the dogs that he meets both outside and in his foster home. No one is a stranger to our beautiful Hero! He is not food aggressive and will make himself comfortable with you at the foot of the bed. This gentle and kind soul will be such a wonderful and special family member. Hero is a medium coated breed, so he will need regular brushing and baths as needed as well as professional grooming and nail trims every 12 to 14 weeks. Hero's adoption fee is $ 225.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, microchip with lifetime membership and professional grooming. |Rescue Me ID: 18-05-19-00215Echo (female)|
Echo is an amazing female Husky. Beautiful coat. Is in very good health. Very loving. What is a typical day for Echo like? Our mornings generally start around 6:30AM.... I stumble to the kitchen to start the coffee going and gather the dog food bowls..... at which time is a que for Echo and the other dogs to start playing with there toys, I can hear them run from the livingroom to the backyard a couple of times.... by the time I have the dry food in and have opened the second can of canned food they are all laying quietly behind me waiting for their breakfast.... As I serve four bowls of dog food, moma gets hers in private, but the Rottie and the other two Huskies all eat in the dining room together.... Sometimes it is a game of 'I will wait on my bowl, until I see what you have in yours first'.... that is usually Echo..... She will not push anyone off their food, but always seems to think someone might have something a bit better maybe..... Then straight out to do the morning business.... a good drink of water on the way back in for a nice nap.... Echo sleeps on a cooleroo, a serta dog bed mattress, the couch, the chair, or the cool tile.... She does not go outside much even if a pool is offered.... It is much to much nicer inside than out in her mind.... When I came upon her, she had spent her life on a chain outside.... We do NOT do chains, and she is free to go inside or out on her own..... She loves treats, she loves to catch them in the air... Loves Toys..... a good brushing.... loves to ride in the car.... loves walks..... Why am I putting this ad on here???? Not an easy choice.... Here are the reasons.... I have been spending a lot more time at the Doctor's office lately.... She is throwing little fits about this.... chewed off two of the other dogs collars ruff housing.... This was a HUGE deal when someone let one of those dogs out the front door without the collar on.... took us over three weeks to get her back home..... She really could use more walks, play time, and a LARGE KENNEL to be in while the master of the home is away to keep her out of trouble.... I have looked for large kennels, but in a small two bedroom Condo a Large Kennel does not work well when you already have four very large dog beds about inside.... I do NOT want her to be outside, it is way TOO HOT out there for any dog during the summer.... We came from up North for medical reasons, the dogs should not suffer for it..... She is a great companion, loving, fun, a well adjusted housemate.... when you are home..... I do not know what gets into her while we are away..... If you are interested in meeting her, please contact me.... (Less)

It's hard to believe this girls mix it but we know both parents. Her mother is a Husky and her father is a Rotti. Her personality is more on the Husky side. She wants to run , play and wrestle with her foster siblings . She's a lover and a lot of fun. Alyeska would do great with an active family that will take her on adventures and let her explore. She is 6 months old so still very puppy. Crate and potty trained. She loves her walks a little to much so we are working on teaching her not to pull. |Animal ID: ROMEOROMEO (male)|

Seeking a forever family that will take Romeo on walks and hikes - he has a ton of great energy and is very curious. Loves to explore surroundings including cuddly blankets and couches. Loves tennis balls but loves it more if you pretend to chase him when he has one, and if you have 2 he will fetch and be ready for the next one. Gentle eater and knows to sit before receiving food. Forever family should be loving adults that have older if not teenage children, maybe even another doggy buddy to play with. Will need to be able to work on manner training and consistent mental games because this blue eyed angel wants to learn. Romeo o Romeo where art thou my Romeo! I found this very sweet male dog wandering in the Flagstaff, AZ area. He was very dehydrated and extremely skinny. I was able to find that he had a microchip and tracked down the owners. They informed me that they are unable to keep a dog and did not want him back. I had to put him with a local shelter as I am not able to keep him overnight where I live, but am willing to help find him a loving forever home. As I said, he is very sweet and seems to get along great with other animals and people. He did manage to get over a 5 foot fence when left by himself, so an FYI that he probably will need to be securely contained if left alone.

|Animal ID: SIERRASIERRA (female)|
Sierra is spayed, up-to-date on shots and chipped. No cats, and good with kids over 10 yrs. Sierra is house-trained, crate-trained, LOVES to play fetch and actually retrieves (pretty cool for a husky!). She is loyal to an owner and very loving. She also loves long hikes, runs, walks and would make an amazing companion in these activities! Sierra was initially adopted, but had to be returned when she was not getting along with her new owner's dog - she is only good with other dogs that will be completely submissive to her, otherwise she will need to be adopted as an only dog. Let's help Sierra get a loving home! ONLY GOOD WITH SUBMISSIVE DOGS NO SMALL KIDS NO CATS If you are interested in 'Sierra,' please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or fill out the adoption application following the link below. Her adoption fee is $200. This covers all shots and microchip. (Less)

|Animal ID: Gina & JewelsGina & Jewels (female)|
GINA (R) & JEWELS (L) ~7-8 yr old sisters Both are spayed, up-to-date on shots, chipped. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Good with dogs and kids, but not cats. Gina She is a very sweet, loving girl! Always greets you at the door with kisses! She's a little bit of an escape artist but with continued work she has learned it is better to stay with her humans and in the house or yard. Gets along well with other dogs. Does not get along with cats!! Loves car rides and is very gentle with her foster mom's one year old child! Good on the leash as well! Jewels She is a little more calm and shy, very gentle, a little more clumsy. Hates separated from her sister. Very gentle with foster mom's 1 year old child as well, and loves car rides. Good on the leash and gets along with other dogs. Does not get along with cats. Jewels has a goiter/lump on the under part of her jaw. Otherwise looks just like her sister. Both girls are super fluffy, blue-eyed adults. Gina is 75lbs and Jewels is 65lbs! UPDATE: Both girls had significant matting when they were surrendered and their coats could not be saved. They were suffering extreme loss of mobility, and we, with our groomer's advice, made the difficult decision to shave their coats. Typically we would never ever shave a husky, but in this situation it could not be avoided. So please do note that their fur will be growing back in and as with all fluffy huskies will need regular maintenance! If you are interested in Gina and Jewels, please email us at email@example.com, or fill out the adoption application following the link below. Their joint adoption fee is $300. This covers all shots and microchips. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Siberian Husky in Arizona|
Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
