|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-06-00329Willow (female)|
Willow is an 7 1/2 year old Siberian Husky. We adopted her from the anchorage shelter when she was 3 and we are her second owners. She is the sweetest dog towards any adult or kids age 5 and up. She awful towards other dogs, I'm not sure if her first owner abused her but any other animal does not do well with her; she needs to be an only dog and I cannot stress this enough. She hates cats with a passion. She LOVES her walks and that's what she lives for! She also loves to run, but needs to be in a contained area because she will run so far that she'll get lost. She doesn't like to fetch. She is and always will boue our baby and is the most loyal dog I've ever owned, but she gets jealous of other dogs and small children VERY fast. We need to rehome her because we just had a baby 2 weeks ago and willow is miserable because she isn't the center of attention. I feel very bad for her because we don't have time to give her all the attention, and she is so sad, it can even be seen in her eyes. I really hate to do this because we will miss her so much but it will be best for her. She will not be given up right away, I will go to your house and see what your living conditions are like, because I want her to go to the best home possible. The $75 dollar fee is so I know that you are genuinely looking for a best friend. Thanks for looking. (Less)

Siberian Husky Dogs can make good pets in Alaska if they match your IifestyIe. The Siberian Husky is a large Spitz-type dog with a history of being used as a sled dog. Despite its ancient genetics and wolf-like appearance, Huskies are extremely friendly, gentle family companions. Huskies do not make good guard dogs. They are wonderful with children. Huskies do not like to be left alone so it is a good idea to own two of them. Huskies are smart but stubborn; they need firm training but may still disregard commands. Huskies should be socialized with other pets when they are puppies. Huskies need acreage on which to roam and should be sheltered from hot temperatures.
